Learn to adjust customer account balances efficiently. This is most beneficial when performing a balance transfer as done when transferring from another system.

Step-by-Step Guidance

  1. Open to customer file > Account.

  2. If there is a balance, please add a charge.

  3. If there is a credit, please add a credit.

  4. We recommend changing the date to the day before the first day of the billing period that you will bill.

    1. Example: If you were planning on January 2022 being your first billing period, you would date this entry 12/31/2021.

  5. Add the appropriate entry (charge or credit).

  6. Select the category “Account Adjustment”.

  7. Enter the appropriate date and amount.

  8. We recommend also adding a comment that says: Balance transfer from (insert old system name here).
