Default Comments Overview and Set Up | WO eLearning

Step-by-Step Guidance

  1. Navigate to the Task File: Locate the task file where you want to set up the default comment.

  2. Access Default Comment Section: Look for the "Default Comment" field within the first column of the task file. You might see existing default comments linked as hyperlinks.

  3. Create a New Default Comment: Click the "+" icon to create a new comment.

  4. Title the Comment: Assign a descriptive title to the comment, considering if it's specific to this task, a group of tasks, or applies more broadly.

  5. Set Conditions (Optional): Define conditions for when the comment should be applied. You can base it on practice location, invoice type, scenario (e.g., after hours), or prescribing professional.

  6. Fill Out Comment Fields: Enter the desired comment text in the "Comment" and "Extra Comment" sections. To leave one field blank, insert a space to ensure a value exists.

  7. Hide Comments (Optional): Select the checkbox labeled "Hidden" to prevent the comment from showing on invoices, while keeping it visible in the medical record. You can choose to hide one or both comments.

  8. Save the Default Comment: Click "Save" to create and store the new default comment.

  9. Apply the Default Comment: Refresh the list and click "Save" again to ensure the comment is applied to the task file.

  10. Verify Application: Once you've added a procedure using the task file, check the comment section to confirm the default comment appears as expected.
