Activating Credit Allocations

Overview

Below we will review how to activate the Credit Allocation feature.

Instructions

Before beginning:

  • If you have not already, please review the Credit Allocation Overview before proceeding.

  • We recommend activating Credit Allocations during a non-busy time, as this action may cause a temporary decrease in system performance and may take up to 15 minutes.

Step-by-Step Guidance

  1. Tools > Options.

  2. Check Manual Credit Allocations > Save.

  3. Activating Credit Allocation
  4. Select whether you would like to allocate credits already in the system manually or if you would like Wise Option to auto-allocate.

  5. If you choose to have Wise Option auto-allocate, Wise Option will allocate from oldest to newest charge.

  6. Confirm credits are appropriately allocated by spot-checking a few accounts with charges and credits.

  7. If you chose to allocate credits already in the system manually, please visit Reports > Events Pending Allocation to aid in manually allocating credits.

  8. Please note that we recommend ALL businesses using credit allocation feature to check this report at least once a month to ensure ALL credits are allocated.
